How do I setup a filter in Outlook? Filtering email in Outlook (or whatever email program you use) is an important part of reducing spam email. Servata maintains a spam filter on our servers, but this filter only marks suspect email as "spam" in the subject line, so in case a "real" email is identified as spam, you can still retrieve it.
Therefore, even if you set spam filtering on your email addresses on the Servata server, you still need to set up a filter in your email program to set aside emails marked as spam (you can put them in a spam folder that you create or already have in Outlook, or you can make Outlook automatically delete them for you).
